It is interesting to know our history, our background, to understand how this site came to be.

The downward trend of the Woodcock on the hunting grounds of Franck Ricaud, in the Brittany region calls out to him. He decides to create his website "  the future of the woodcock  ". whose goal is to educate hunters and the hunting world so that they become aware of the situation.

At the same time, Philippe Vignac in the Aquitaine region made the same observation. He writes articles on his studies, to be published in La Mordorée (the journal of the CNB)  ; they will not all be.

By consulting La Mordorée, Franck Ricaud then decides to do some research to contact Philippe Vignac. They exchange for several years, on their experiences, their observations and their studies.

Faced with the difficulty of making their voice heard, they decide to create a common website. Their goal  : Expose their point of view on the situation of Scolopax Rusticola, which does not seem to be as enviable as it is presented to us, and which also does not reflect the field observations that many of you woodcock hunters, see today  !
