There is another point on which optimists rely for comfort, normal you say to me for optimists, it is L  'ICA, it absolutely does not reflect the reality on the ground, regularly by observing the figures, we can see identical ICA from one year to another with a difference that can reach more than 30% of the surveys on the same department.

Here is the example of my  department 56, for the last two seasons, the number of lifts was lower by a little over 13% than the previous year and the ICA is higher by a little more than 5%  !

Not being an optimist by nature but rather a Cartesian  , this index is established on a protocol which lacks coherence to the point that even specialists have great difficulty in coming to an agreement and for good reason.

However, what is worrying, it is our managers who rely on this benchmark to explain to us that all is well  !

Conclusion, these optimists who are in reality jugglers unable to meet their commitment to account for the withdrawals which you will admit have been the subject of many studies proven for a long time, and at the same time the optimists claim that the woodcock is concentrates a little more in the North, North-East,  statement which is not the subject of any known study to date! This contradiction is an understatement!

Finally, I will finish, the current situation of the woodcock in Europe is at least in a certain trend of a sufficiently significant decline for the hunting world to react at the European level and to exercise caution, which must benefit exclusively to our dear traveler.
